Happy Halloweek!

We had a week full of Halloween activities. So we have decided to rename it to Halloweek. Sunday we got the kids Halloween pictures taken. For some reason, blogger won't let me upload them. If I figure it out, I will put them on. Tuesday was the Halloween party for Lucas at preschool. Wednesday we went to the Hanuted Trail. Thursday I had the Witches Tea.Friday we had a Halloween party for playgroup. We decorated pumpkins, made ghost suckers, trick or treated and ate a yummy chili lunch. What a fun time. I always love our playgroup holiday parties.
Saturday was Brady's 5th birthday. He had a Halloween/Mickey birthday party. It was so much fun. The kids decorated trick or treat bags, decorated pumpkin sugar cookies, played and ate jack-o-lantern pizza. Lucas dressed as sorcerer Mickey for the party, since it was Mickey themed.

That night we had our annual soup Halloween party with the Campbell family. Of course, there was wonderful food. Yummy butternut squash and Mexican corn chowder soups, along with chili. The kids then went trick or treating.
On Sunday, we went trick or treating at the Treat's house. Colton was dressed up as a scary pirate.
We then went over to my mom and dad's for cheesy potato soup. Lucas played with Sabriya, Olivia and Anna.

What a fun and eventful week. Now onto the Thanksgiving and Christmas season.

Witches Tea

My cute friend, Randi, hosted a witches tea last night. It was such a fun time. Last year I couldn't go, because I had to work. I was so happy to be able to go this year.Witch Shamie and Witch Randi
Randi had a bunch of different teas for us to try. I ended up with pomegranate, cinnamon and sugar cookie. They were all delicious. She then read us an excerpt from a book about witches. We all had a lot of fun playing the game to guess which witch statement fit to each person. The desserts were wonderful and quite scary. I only got a picture of my table. There were 16 people there. What a fun, haunted evening.

Murray Park Haunted Trail

Last night Ron, Lucas, Lindsey, Colton, my dad and I all went to the Murray Park Haunted Trail. This brought back such great memories of my childhood. My dad used to take us every year. They have it for two nights the week of Halloween. It costs $2 and you get hot chocolate and a donut, if you come out alive. :)Our group waiting in line. It was very cold, so we all made sure to bundle up.
Here we are being goofs while waiting in line. We went 1 hour before the start time. The line gets really, really long. We also made it out alive and were able to enjoy our treats.

This is going to be our new annual tradition. I can't wait for the girls to come next year.

Volunteering

It's official! I am now a volunteer at Intermountain Medical Center. I am so excited!I am going to be volunteering for the NICU. Right now I am doing the antepartum lunches twice a month. This is a get together lunch for the women who are pregnant and on hospital bed rest, like I was. I am also taking photos of the sweet babies in the unit for the cd's that the parents take home.

Having a baby in the NICU is hard. It really helps to talk to someone who has been in the same situation. Even if I can make the difference in one parent's life, it's worth it. I am so happy to be doing this.

1st Baby Food

Sunday night the girls had their first experience with baby food. I decided to start with sweet potatoes. I make the vegetable baby food and buy the fruit. The fruit is too hard to make and actually seems cheaper to buy. I did this with Lucas and am continuing with the girls.Emrie is a champ and loves food. She ate it right up.
Eva was a bit more concerned about the food. She is getting better, but still not as good of an eater. And I was wondering why Emrie was bigger... ;)

The girls looked so cute in their high chair. I can't wait to continue to try new foods with them. Lucas was such a wonderful eater and still is. I am crossing all my fingers that the girls will be the same.

Cornbelly's

We love Cornbelly's at Thanksgiving Point. It is our annual tradition for us to go there each October. This year we went with Shawn, Suzie, Sabriya, Olivia and Anna.The family on the hay ride.
There are so many fun activities.
The girls loved being snuggled in the stroller.
I am already excited to go again next year.

Fall Fun at Wheeler Farm

Our playgroup loves Wheeler Farm. They were having a Fall Festival, so we decided to go. It was so much fun.The kids got to go through a corn maze.

They also got to go on a wagon ride and pick out a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch.
The girls were so good and loved just hanging out in their stroller. They really love riding without being in the infant carriers.

6 Month Photo Shoot

We love our girls and especially love getting adorable pictures taken of them. They had their 6 month photo shoot at the beginning of September. They turned out so wonderful. I also have all of the pictures in black & white and sepia. I just loved the color ones so much, that I decided to make all of my collages in color.Our girls
