No Carseats. Yahoo!

The girls had quite a milestone today. We walked to the park and they sat in their stroller with no carseats! It was so adorable. They looked so big. They seemed to really like it. Eva had to lean back a little. She is not as stable with her sitting.
Emrie loved sitting in the front and going for a ride.
Lucas loves this little park in the neighborhood. It is nice, because we are generally the only ones there and get the park to ourselves. Today was just going to be a relaxing day. (As you can see by his outfit.) I loved that we went to the park with Grandma Jacobs. What a fun outing.

Loving Playgroup

We have been having so much fun at playgroup lately! How wonderful that we belong to a group with such fun people. We went to the Jordan River Parkway to play on the playground and eat pizza. Then we went for a walk to cross the bridge and look at the river. Logan lost his shoe off the bridge, but it stayed on a lower part of the bridge. His daddy came later and climbed over the bridge and got the shoe. Scary!

Wheeler Farm is a favorite for us. It was the perfect day, not too hot. We fed the ducks and looked around at the animals. Our picnic lunch was yummy. At Germania Park we played on the playground, ate a picnic lunch and went for a nature walk. The kids had so much fun collecting leaves. Lucas was loving the playground. He was so daring and climbed up on the playground bars. It made me nervous.

It is a wonderful time of the year when we get to go to Gardner Village and see the witches. Yahoo for fall activities! The witches are hidden all around the village. Finding them is so much fun. After finding them all, we got to get a cookie from the bakery for 25 cents.

I am so bad at getting pictures of the girls at playgroup. They come with us, but are always just hanging out in the stroller being good.

Happy Happy Birthday Daddy

Today was Ron's 41st birthday. Because of taking a lot of time off when the babies were born, vacations and around Christmas, he had to work. Boo hoo! We never work on our birthdays, so this was a new experience for us.I wanted to make it special. Lucas, the babies and I went to his work and delivered him two pies to share with his team, balloons and a homemade card. We got his two favorite pies from Village Inn, French Silk and Banana Cream. If you know Ron, you know that he is not a big cake fan, so he always gets pie on his birthday.

The day was pretty low key. After he got home from work, we just relaxed and played with the kids. We then went to dinner with some family at Dasks. It is just a casual restaurant, but the food is really yummy.

Happy Birthday Ron!

Grant Elementary Carnival

Last Friday, Lucas and I went to the Grant Elementary carnival. My nieces, Sabriya and Anna, attend school there. It was so much fun! I can't wait until Lucas is in elementary and we can attend fun activities like this.We bought a wristband for Lucas to go on the bouncy toys and then bought punch cards for games and food. Lucas was so cute playing the games and winning the prizes.
They also had a silent auction. One hour before the end, I went and put some bids on six items. With an hour still left, I thought that I might maybe win one or two items. I ended up winning 5 out of 6 items! (Note to self, only bid on a few items at silent auctions.) There were some fun things that we ended up winning. Luckily I was able to pull out some items for Lucas for his birthday and Christmas. It did make me feel a lot better that the money will go to my nieces school.
What a fun evening!

Chunky Monkey and Skinny Mini

The babies went to the doctor for their 6 month appointment on September 14. They have grown so much. I love this picture! We love, love, love Baby Legs!
Emrie is 16 lbs 14 oz. She is in the 95% for a 4 month old and the 75% for a 6 month old.
Eva is 12 lbs 14 oz. She is in the 25% for a 4 month old and the 5% for a 6 month old. I could not believe that they were 4 pounds apart. I knew there was a difference, but holy cow!
Eva
The doctor told us that we could start feeding them food. The only food that is off limits is honey. I was shocked! I explained that I remembered Lucas couldn't have baby food until 6 months. He did say that things have changed. We decided to start with the typical rice cereal. They are both really warming up to it.
Emrie
I busted out my wonderful sewing skills (yeah, right) and made the girls cuddle blankets. I am actually so proud of myself. I think that they turned out pretty cute!

St. George for Labor Day

Over Labor Day weekend we went down to St. George to go visit my cute nephew Kelby. He is down there going to Dixie. I was so happy to hear that he is loving it!I really sucked at taking pictures this trip and only got a few. On the way down, Lucas fell asleep and his head kept flopping. The only way to get it to stay was to "tie" his head back with one of the babies blankets. We were able to make it all the way down without having to stop and having no peeps from any of the kids.

We stayed at the Fairfield Inn. Just for asking, I was able to upgrade our room to a suite for the same cost. I have decided that I am always going to start asking for upgrades. The worst they can say is no.

We were there with my parents, Mike, Stacie, Damon, Sarah, Angelina and Kelby. It was a lot of fun to swim, visit, shop, eat and hang out. We ate at Parrothead Island Broiler, Judd's General Store, In N Out, Jack In The Box and Cracker Barrel. Even though the trip was short, it was very fun filled. We love St. George!

Lewis Reunion at Anderson Cove

I am a little behind on blogging about some events that happened this summer. On the weekend of July 20, we went to the Lewis Family Reunion up at the Anderson Cove campground at Pineview Reservoir. Like always, we had a blast!Lewis Family
The babies loved the reunion. (Even if the picture of Emrie doesn't look like it.)
Lucas had so much fun! He got some glasses from Becci and wore them the whole day. He was enjoying himself so much, that he flat out wore himself out. He fell asleep at dinner laying on a picnic bench and grandma's lap.
We always enjoy ourselves and this year was no exception. We swam in the lake, ate yummy food, enjoyed family and had a wonderful auction. Ron and Lucas camped in a tent this year. I took the babies and stayed at my sister's house. I wasn't up for the task of camping with tiny ones.
Lucas and his cousin Colton love each other so much! They had such a fun time playing together all weekend long.

I love the Lewis family and am so happy spending the time with them each year.

Go Utah Utes!

We love Utah Utes football at our house! We had season tickets for years, but gave them up when Lucas was born. It was just too hard to leave him for so many games. We won't be at the game today, but we will defiantly be watching it on tv!GO UTES! Kick Pitt's butt!
