Playgroup Again

We are slowly trying to get back to going to playgroup. Last week I actually took all of the kids by myself. We met at a park in Herriman. Thanks to Shannon for helping me feed the babies when they got hungry. We got to feed the ducks, have a picnic lunch and play on the playground. Lucas had a blast! He really missed playgroup. He was so daring and climbed up this rock wall all by himself. I about freaked out when I saw him doing it, but he did really good and loved it. It is about 9 feet high, so you can see why I panicked a little bit.
I put the girls in their Bumbos for the first time. They really did like it. I promise. As you can see, by the time I got the camera, they were both a little sad.

We Love Our Dads

We had a wonderful Father's Day this year.We started off with our annual tradition (for 3 years) by going up to Snowbird for the Father's Day BBQ. We went with the Cannons, Ryan and Ron's Dad. Snowbird puts on this yummy BBQ with an all you can eat meal. A tram ticket is also included in the price.
Here we are at the top of the mountain with Ron's Dad. The babies were in the stroller and it was too cold to get them out.
After the BBQ we came back down and took my Dad to go see Toy Story 3. After the movie we went to Sizzler for dinner. I forgot to take pictures of us, so this is a cute picture of my mom and dad from about 3 years ago.

Thanks to Ron for being an amazing husband and Daddy to our kids! Thanks to our Dads for being so wonderful.

St. George Vacation

Every year over my birthday, we go on a family vacation to St. George. Since the babies were going to be so small, we weren't going to go this year. Then my sister, Stacie, invited us, and we couldn't refuse. They were taking Kelby down to register at Dixie. We absolutely LOVE it down there and would move in a heartbeat if the job market was better. It was also wonderful that Stacie got us $29 hotel rooms at the Hampton. Yahoo for employee discounts! We had a lot of fun at the hotel pool. We even took the babies down to relax in the shade, on the lounge chairs while we swam.
One day we went to our favorite lunch spot, Judds General Store and then went over to the Town Square Park. They have made a little river and a fountain for kids to play in.
Lucas loved playing in the water.
Out of all the times we have been there, we have never gone to Snow Canyon. Mike and Stacie suggested it and we jumped at the chance. It is beautiful! We went on a small hike. Ron and Mike carried the babies in the front carriers. I didn't trust my footing to carry a baby. The babies loved it! Emrie was even sad to get out. We had so much fun. The only bummer was that it was SO windy that day. Next time we go, we hope that it is not windy and we will let Lucas play in the red sand.
We went to a lot of yummy restaurants. We tried Smash Burger and it was delicious! I am glad there is one in Salt Lake, so I can feed my cravings for it.
We went to Mongolian BBQ. Lucas thought it was tasty. We also hit Panama Grill, Nielson's Frozen Custard, Bear Paw Cafe, Krave Frozen Yogurt, Brick Oven Pizza & Pasta and my new favorite, ParrotHead Island Broiler. YUMMY!

What a wonderful and relaxing vacation. I am so excited that Kelby is going to Dixie. That gives us an excuse to go down again before June 2011. :)

Closer to 40

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!

As I sit here pondering about today, I think of all of the things in my life so far that I am so happy for. To name a few...

- My wonderful kids... I am so happy that my family is complete and I have 3 beautiful children that fill my life with joy. I can't begin to explain how much I love being their mom. I am so lucky and feel so blessed.

-My adoring husband... I am so glad that Ron and I found each other. I couldn't ask for a better husband and dad for my kids. When I look at the world around me, I am so happy to be able to share it with him.

-My parents... They support me in all that I do and help me out in so many ways. I don't know what I would do without them.

-This blog... Considering that I have never been a journal writer or a scrapbooker, I am filled with joy that I have this blog to keep record of my little family and our lives together.

-Friends... I have many wonderful friends. I have a few that blow my mind and are amazing friends. I hope to one day become the person that is amazing to others.

I am not sure why this birthday is a little bit more difficult for me. It is not as bad as 26, but I am having a little heartache. Is it because I am now closer to 40 than 30? I am going to the spa on Saturday for my true birthday celebration. I hope that day is filled with only wonderful thoughts.
