Discovery Gateway

We had such a fun day yesterday. Too bad Ron was at work and couldn't share it with us. :( We started out the day with meeting some of our playgroup friends at Greek Souvlaki for lunch. Yummy!

Next we went with my mom to meet the Treats and Lewis' up at Discovery Gateway. It is the childrens museum at Gateway Mall. The kids had so much fun!
Lucas loved dressing up and putting on a play for us. He also learned how to be a newscaster. He and Colton "rode" in the life flight helicopter. He rode in a little boat on the "lake".
He was a crazy driver. He did some grocery shopping and the little girl that he was playing with informed him that his bill was $200! Wow! What an expensive store. He like the water feature and of course got his sleeves all wet. His favorite was the ball feature. It was really neat. There were so many tubes and places to play with the balls. His favorite was the one in the picture. You put the ball in and it gets sucked up into a tube. I took the picture through yellow glass. After playing with it, his cheeks were bright red and he was exhausted.
The girls even had a lot of fun. They hung out in their strollers for a while. Then they had a lot of fun with a bunch of us carrying them around to play. The ball area was a blast for the girls. I tried to keep their binki's in their mouths so that they wouldn't suck the balls. Of course Eva had no problems with that. Emrie, on the other hand, didn't want to suck her binki. Sad! I hope they didn't get too many germs.

After playing at Discovery Gateway, we all met up with my dad to eat at Z Tejas. It was yummy! The girls were acting a little bit like stinkers. They were exhausted and hungry. Once we got some food in them it was much better. What a fabulously fun day!

Easter Fun

To start off the Easter season, we got the kids pictures taken with the "real" Easter Bunny. They turned out SO adorable! We got them taken by Jana at Butterfly Love Photography. She takes awesome pictures.

We had a wonderful Easter. The girls woke up before Lucas and got to take a glance at their baskets that the Easter Bunny brought. Lucas finally got up and found his basket. All of the kids loved what they got.
After baths, the girls went down for a nap and Lucas got to do an egg hunt in the back yard. He was so good at finding the eggs. He only needed help with a couple.

We then went to brunch at Ron's sister's house with his whole family. As always, the food was wonderful. We hung out for a while and then headed home. Once we got home, we just spent the rest of the day relaxing. What a wonderful Easter!

Easter Fun and Not So Fun

We are having a lot of fun preparing for Easter. Last week we got our pictures taken with a real bunny for Easter. I am saving those for an Easter surprise. Yesterday we went to the mall to visit the Easter bunny. Lucas loves the Easter bunny and has since he was little. The girls, not so much. They were fine for about 2.5 seconds and then the screaming started. Eva was the first to start and then Emrie chimed in. Poor Easter bunny! Lucas just sat there and smiled. We enjoyed the day with a little bit of shopping and lunch at The Corner Bakery.
This morning we woke up and dyed our Easter eggs. We had a lot of fun making our masterpieces. We are so excited for the Easter bunny to hide our eggs tomorrow.

What Was He Thinking???

Ron got the bright idea a few days ago that it would be a good plan to shave his face for something different.
Before
During the process

We were in a hurry, so the stages of shaving and picture taking had to be done quickly. Ron does a great job being a mean biker and even a better job being a porn star.
After

We have both agreed that he looks much better with facial hair. Eva was also not a fan. She was very hesitant to go to Ron. She loves him and normally will take him over me any day. Thank goodness he promised me that he would grow it back and never shave again. Recently he has been sporting a beard. It took me a while to get used to it, but I have gotten very used to it and actually like it.

Playgroup Egg Hunt

Today's playgroup was so much fun! We had an Easter egg hunt.
The kids waiting with their baskets to go and find the eggs. I didn't take a basket for Lucas, so he just had a grocery bag. The kids had so much fun looking for all of the eggs that the Easter Bunny had placed around. Even the babies had fun looking. They loved crawling all over the place. We also rode bikes and ate sack lunches.
When we got home, Lucas wanted me to draw faces on all of his eggs. I got out the Sharpie and went to work with my wonderful artistic abilities. Oh man, I hope that my kids don't get my talent when it comes to drawing. ;) Lucas had fun playing with his egg family.

Happy 8th Anniversary to Us!

Our 8 year anniversary was yesterday. I can't believe it! The time has gone by so fast. We had our big celebration on April 3.
It was Ron's turn to plan. He took me up to Johnson Mill Bed and Breakfast in Midway. What a wonderful place! We loved hanging out on the beautiful property and our patio outside our room.
We stayed in the Waterfall Room. I loved it! Such a great room. They set up a romance package for us. It included rose petals sprinkled all over, chocolate covered strawberries, sparkling cider and champagne glasses to take home. The breakfast the next day was so yummy. It was ham and swiss cheese crepes, biscuits with raspberry spread, fruit, fresh squeezed juice and coffee. It was yummy!
We went to Ruth's Chris in Park City for dinner. YUMMY! It was so worth the money spent. We got a crabtini appetizer, Ron got a ribeye, I got herb cheese chicken, we shared asparagus, garlic mashed potatoes, creme brulee and a chocolate cupcake with cream cheese icing. They were so nice there. The service was amazing. They greeted us by name and even had a happy anniversary card waiting on our table. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone.

The next day we went to Tarahumara for lunch. It was delicious. We ended our getaway with a little bit of shopping at the Park City outlets and a stop by Babysteals to pick up my steals. My Mom stayed the night at our house to watch the kids. Thanks Mom for letting us getaway!

On our actual anniversary, Ron made us shrimp scampi and we drank sparkling cider.

8 years and 3 kiddos later..... Happy Anniversary! Here's to many, many more wonderful years together!

Mischievous Little Babies

I have heard that twins can be mischievous. I didn't think that it would start so early!
The girls love to go into Lucas' room and play. This morning they came crawling out looking like this. Oh no! This is the second time this week that they have eaten crayons. They are not typical crayons. They are used to write on a white board, which makes them very soft. Please tell me that all crayons are non-toxic these days. I suppose that I should have learned my lesson the first time. Trust me, they are up high now and there is no way that they can reach them.

Should I be worried about this sneaky little behavior that is already happening and they are barely 1?
