Happy Birthday Livy!

Today is my niece, Olivia's birthday. She is 8. Last night we went over to her house to celebrate. Suzie made a wonderful spaghetti dinner with yummy sausage, meatballs, garlic bread, salad and strawberries. Olivia's cake last night was a yummy one made of Dunford chocolate donuts. It was my kind of cake. (Maybe because they are my favorite donuts ever!) We ended the evening with a fun, competitive game of Rukus. The birthday girl kicked our behinds and won the game.
Happy 8th Birthday Livy! I can't believe that you are getting so old. I remember what a wonderful day it was, watching your birth and welcoming you to the world. And let's not forget that you have the cutest newborn hospital picture of any baby girl that I have ever seen. Sorry everyone else.

Question: What do you do when you have two crying babies in your arms?
Answer: Start to cry yourself. Hee Hee!

BBQ Fun and Graduates

Last Saturday we went to two BBQs. Unfortunately, it was freezing cold. Both BBQs had bounce toys and Lucas really enjoyed himself. He had found these mittens in his sock drawer right before we left. It is a good thing he did, they helped keep him warm.
This week we had two graduates in the family. Kelby is my nephew and Jessie is Ron's niece. We weren't able to attend either of the ceremonies, but we were able to make it to the celebrations. We are SO proud of these two and know that they will have wonderful futures ahead of them. Congrats to the both of you!
While at Jessie's celebration, Lucas found these goggles and enjoyed wearing them around for a while. When I took this picture, he had just gotten bitten by the dog. :( That is why the goggles are foggy and his face is shiny. Bad dog!!

Murray Arts Fest

Today we went to the Arts Fest at Murray High. It was me, Lucas, the girls, my Mom, Dad, Heidi and Jarrod. It was a lot of fun. There was a lot of art on display, yummy food, entertainment and some fun booths.Me, Jarrod, Heidi and the babies enjoying the wonderful weather at the Arts Fest. Jarrod is Heidi's boyfriend. We were so happy to spend some time with him. We really like him and are so glad that they are together.
Lucas got to make a mask. After eating ice cream and spilling it on his shirt, he enjoyed laying in the wagon.

The other night I put the girls in the swing together. They seemed to enjoy it and looked so stinkin' cute in there.

Even the girls enjoyed the farm. :)

Spartan Cove

When I was in high school, I worked in the school restaurant, Spartan Cove. Recently I got the opportunity to go back with some friends that also took that class. It was a lot of fun, but boy has it changed. When we took the class, it was because it was a fun class to take. Now they are serious chefs. The kids compete in competitions and are planning on going to culinary school.Heidi, Shamie, Tiffany
Mrs. Morgan and Judy
Mrs. Morgan was and still is the teacher for Spartan Cove. Judy is the secretary at the high school and was there when we were there.
The food we got to eat was the competition menu and they won 5th place in the state.
Appetizer: Sun Dried Tomato and Cheese Fried Ravioli
Main Dish: Lamb with red wine reduction, whipped potato and leeks with basil and tied veggies
Dessert: Italian Donuts with raspberry tart, chili chocolate and lemon custard dip.
YUMMY!

1st Mommy of 3 Mother's Day

I had the best 1st Mother's Day as a Mommy of 3.
First thing in the morning we took Ron's mom to Gardner Village for brunch. It was so yummy! As you can tell, Lucas loved the chocolate fountain. I love this picture with the strawberries in his teeth.
Thank you Kathy for being a wonderful Mom and Grandma! A big thanks for all that you do.
My Mom and Dad had watched the girls while we were at brunch. We went back to their house and just hung out all day. The weather was wonderful and we got to sit out on their deck. We ended the night by ordering in Chili's. We still aren't taking the girls in public, so that is why we ordered in. It was quite tasty.

Thanks Mom for being so wonderful and helping me out in so many ways! You are an awesome Grandma to our kids. Thanks for helping make my life more organized, easy and sane.

The Next Michael Jackson?

For some reason, Lucas has been obsessed with this mitten. He has been wearing it all day long. As you can see, he even wore it during his nap! Do I have the 6th Jackson in the family?

He MUST be Tired

Lucas was eating dinner the other night and I stepped away for just a second to clear the dishes. Ron was at the table eating with him when he called me over. This is how I found him. First of all, what a messy eater! Second, who in the world can fall asleep while eating and have such a messy face? I guess that he really was exhausted from that day.

And just for good measure... Here is a picture of the girls in new, adorable outfits from Ron's sister Sheri and her husband Todd.
