Bouncing and Dinosaurs

We have been having so much fun lately! I love it when the weather gets warm and there are a lot of activities.

We recently went to Jumpin' Jacks for Parker's Birthday. He is Lucas's little friend. The bouncing was tiring for Ron and I. We definitely got our workout for the day. Lucas could have gone on for hours. I guess that is the difference between kids who are 2 and adults who are in their 30's.

We also took a fun trip up to the Dinosaur Park in Ogden. Neither Ron nor I had ever been to the park, so it was a fun adventure for the whole family. It was a bit hot, so next time we will go in the spring or fall.
Isn't it true that sometimes 2 year olds can be the most dangerous creatures in the world?

Lucas Loves Lagoon

On Memorial Day we went to Lagoon. It was Ron's brother-in-law, Scott's, work Lagoon day and they invited us along. Thanks so much Cannon's! Lucas absolutely loved it! I also think that I had one of the best times that I have ever had there. Seeing the excitement on Lucas's face was the best thing in the whole world!
Here is Lucas on some of the rides in Kiddie Land and on the Tilt-A-Whirl. Some of his favorite rides were Jumping Dragon (3 times), Ladybug Bop (3 times) and Scalawags (7 times, 6 of which were in a row).
We got a few pictures of the family. The top two were taken on Kontiki and the Carousel. The bottom was on the train.
One of the best parts was eating lunch. Scott's work provided a free lunch and it was yummy. All-you-can-eat hamburgers, hot dogs, potato salad, beans, chips, drinks and ice cream. As you can see, Lucas loved the ice cream. I can't wait to go to Lagoon again sometime.

Loving the Park

Lucas has been in heaven since the weather has been warm. He is constantly asking if we can go outside. He loves it! He is so happy each time that we play outside. If we let him, he would be out all day. To mix things up, we took him to a few parks this past weekend. He was so excited and had a blast. Also, I have decided that he is going to live the summer in hats. I am hoping to try and avoid sunburns. So, he will most likely be wearing hats in all outside pictures for the next little while.

Wheeler Farm

We had a very fun playgroup last week. We took the kids to Wheeler Farm. It was great, especially since it is free! The weather was perfect. It was about 70 degrees. We met at the farm at 10:30 and it was already packed. There were a lot of school kids there on field trips. Lucas loved it. He had so much fun. There are so many pictures to follow because I couldn't decide which to put up. They were all so cute...and I even have more!

Lucas loved the "hay" ride. There really isn't any hay, probably because of allergies. You ride on a long wagon with a tractor pulling you. It cost $1.50, but it is well worth it. The ride is actually quite long.

Mother's Day Fun

I had an absolutely wonderful Mother's Day this year. We took Ron's mom to brunch at Gardner Village. It was at 9:00 am, but they had both breakfast and lunch items. It was very yummy! They had shrimp, sushi, made to order omelets and crepes, lunch choices, breakfast choices, a chocolate fountain and a few other yummy items. This brunch is every Mother's Day at the Gathering Place. I highly recommend it. Of course, it is no Little America, but it is cheaper, closer to home and we didn't have to wait as long as we would have had to at the hotel.

We were also lucky to be able to talk to Ron's sister, Kacee, who is serving and LDS mission in Orlando. It was so great to hear from her. She sounded so happy and loves her mission. We are so proud of her!

This year Ron, Lucas and I made gifts for both Grandmas. I thought that I was such a genius to come up with the idea. It ended up being quite a task having a 2 year old make two hand prints per jar. We

had to have several takes to make it turn out somewhat looking like a hand. Lucas was in just his diaper and ended up with purple and red paint everywhere. We had to put him in the bath after wards, luckily it came off easily. The jars were coordinated for each Grandma with their favorites. The red jar with Butterfinger was for Grandma Campbell. It said, "I Love You Much!" The purple jar with Lemonheads was for Grandma Jacobs. It said, "I Love You Bye Bye!" Lucas is famous for these quotes lately. Thank you ladies, for being so wonderful!

I love being a mom! It is the best thing in the whole world. I am so lucky to have such an adorable, sweet and loving son. Thanks to Ron for helping make my day so special!

Rocky Mt. Pizza and Early Mother's Day

My friend Cori was in town last weekend with her fiancee Keith. A bunch of my girlfriends and their families got together for a dinner at Rocky Mountain Pizza. It was a fun time. We miss you Cori and can't wait to come to Seattle for your wedding in August!

My mom is having surgery this Thursday and will be down and out for Mother's Day, so we decided to celebrate early. We met up at Little America for Sunday Brunch. It was yummy, as usual. Happy Mother's Day, Mom! Thanks for all you do and being so wonderful.
Isn't it great that Lucas is playing with a knife in this picture? We are such great parents. :) He obviously picked it up while we were posing for the picture and not paying attention. Good thing it wasn't a steak knife.
