1st Birthday Party

With 1st birthdays always comes a huge celebration, right? With two babies turning 1, it was a huge, huge celebration. We rented an indoor pavilion in Sandy to host the party.
We had soups with yummy toppings, salads and rolls for dinner. The soups were Chicken Enchilada, Taco, Almost Ultimate She Crab, Broccoli, Butternut Squash, Chicken Noodle, Tomato Basil and Italian Sausage. We had a variety of salads. Thank you so much to all of you that helped out and brought a salad or soup (or both). It was a great sight seeing 8 crockpots lined up.

The theme of the birthday party was cupcakes. I made huge cupcake cakes for the girls to eat for their first cake. I also made mini chocolate cupcakes and a few regular size cupcakes. My cousin, Courtney, is hands down the best cupcake baker in town. She made mini coconut and strawberry lemonade cupcakes.
We had a wonderful turnout of guests. I didn't get pictures of everyone, because I got distracted during my photo taking. Above is a picture of a bunch of our guests. Thank you SO much to those of you who chose to come and celebrate with us!
Since Emrie is the oldest, we sang to her first. She was so cute while eating her cake. She was so dainty and never really dug in. She just loved eating the frosting and the sprinkles.
Eva was very concerned when we lit her candle. She didn't understand why people were holding her hands. It was so cute when she just dug into the side of her cake and ate handfuls.
The girls were so spoiled! They got so many nice presents. Thank you to everyone that gave them such nice gifts.
Since we opened presents after the cake, we just left their clothes off. It was pretty warm in the pavilion with all the people. We were just planning on putting their jammies on after anyway. They loved all the fun presents that they got.

What a wonderful celebration and great way to spend the evening. Again, thanks to all of you that joined us and helped make the evening so special. Happy Birthday Girls!
