Baking Birthday Party and More

Yesterday was my niece, Anna's, 6th Birthday. We had so much fun celebrating with her.
The day started off with her friend party. She had a baking party. The kids baked and baked and baked. Lucas was so excited to be invited to the party. I am glad that they are such good friends. It makes me sad that there will be a day when they don't want to invite each other to their parties. The kids cut out and frosted sugar cookies, made a jumbo batch of oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, frosted cupcakes, decorated boxes to take the goodies home in, made fruit skewers and played pin the candle on the cake. What a fun, fun party! Suzie made all of the kids aprons to take home as a party favor.

For dinner, we went to the Mayan. The kids love that place. I am glad to say that the food is much better but, the prices are outrageous! Seriously, $13.95 for a salad? Lucas had a blast hanging with his cousins and watching the show.

The evening ended with cake and ice cream at their house. Unfortunately, I had to work. Lucas went with Grandma and Grandpa to the party. Thanks for letting him tag along.

The one bummer of the day is that the girls are sick. Poor babies! Ron stayed home with them. What a trooper!

What a fun party. Maybe I'll have a baking party on my birthday...do you think Suzie will make all my friends aprons? :)
