When we first got there, we went and got lunch and ate outside. Lunch was cheaper thanks to coupons that we got while walking into the mall. After lunch we were able to sample lemonade and funnel cake sticks from Hot Dog on a Stick and frozen yogurt from TCBY.
They had a guy making balloon animals. Lucas chose for him to make a gun. It was a machine gun. It had cake sprinkles inside to make noise. He also got his face painted and chose to be Batman for the day. Lucas loved the Chick-Fil-A cow. We then got to ask the Murray City Fireman why they have yellow firetrucks. The answer was interesting. "In the 70's there was a federal grant for cities that would get yellow firetrucks for a study. The study was to test and see if yellow firetrucks were more safe, because they are easier to see in daylight and at night. Murray was part of that grant and have since just chosen to stick with yellow." Lucas got to get in and explore the truck.
The girls had a lot of fun hanging out in the stroller and making their faces messy while eating snacks. While Ron and Lucas were waiting in the face painting line the girls came with me inside the mall for a little bit of shopping. What a fun day. I love it when there are fun, free things to do as a family!
