Wonderful Family Time

On Friday Ron just skipped work and we had a family day. Ron never does this, so I was so excited!
We started off the day by going swimming at Murray Park. We stopped by McDonalds to grab lunch. While eating it on the lawn outside the pool, an ABC4 news anchor came up to us and asked if he could interview us about the flooding this year. We told him that Ron probably shouldn't be on the news since he had skipped work that day. We all laughed about it. So funny! How often do you get approached to be on the news? Of course it would be the day that Ron had skipped work.

This is the first time the girls had ever been to a pool. They love the bath, so I figured that they would love the pool. Emrie was really hesitant at first, but once she got used to the water, she loved it. Eva was a huge fan right from the start. Lucas has always loved swimming and continues to do so. He especially loves going down the waterslide by himself.
We ended the evening with a date night. Ron and I don't get out very often by ourselves. Thanks to my parents for watching our kids and letting us take an evening "off".

We started out by heading to my favorite restaurant Five Alls. The food is delicious. I did take the pictures of our meals, but of course they don't look quite as appetizing as they did when they first came to the table. Trust me though, they were absolutely delicious!

After dinner we headed over to Pioneer Theater at the University of Utah to see my favorite play, Rent. This was Ron's first time seeing it. It was my 3rd. As always, it did not disappoint.

What a wonderful day. We need to somehow become wealthy without having to work. Then we would be able to do things like this every day. :)
